Weaving Willow Wattle – 23-24th June 2018 – The Irish National Heritage Park

Lean to weave and cleave willow into useful and usable natural forms, such as Garden Panels, Plant Pyramids, Wall Panels and more, in the fabulous surroundings of the Irish National Heritage Park.

All tools Supplied, if you have a favourite pair of secateurs or loppers please bring them with you along with wet weather gear, leather cloves and stout footwear (no wellies).

Weaving Walking Sticks – 28/07/18 – I.N.H.P Co. Wexford

Charcoal Course – 7-8th July 2018 – J.F.K. Arboretum, New Ross Co Wexford.

Starting time: Saturday 9.30 am

Course finishes: Sunday 4.30pm (earlier depending on burn time / weather)

Fees: €30.00 per person per day = €60 per person. A 50% deposit required

A weekend course in the woods (J.F.K. Arboretum) participants will gain practical experience in all aspects of Charcoal production, using materials from a managed source and processing them in steel ring kilns.

Learn how to identify suitable timbers, their properties and moister content, set up the burn site, processing timber, prepping and loading kiln, health and safety, risk assessment, the burn process (this is an overnight process) and the unloading, grading and packing the Charcoal.

Overnight Camping available (one night) Please bring camping equipment, sleeping bag and warm clothing.

P.P.E. Please bring a Hard hat, ear protectors, leather cloves and wet weather gear, please wear work clothing, steel toecap or heavy walking boots (no Wellies)
